Football Team Divisions 2026

High School program in Indiana Class 1A, 2A, 3A Ohio- Division 4,5,6,7 Kentucky- Class A, Michigan- Class C and D, Illinois 1A, 2A,3A.  Most of these youth programs will have 1 or 2 rec teams and will create a team for Indy Crossroads from those teams.  A small town team may also create the roster (for example) Aug 1st and play a regular season schedule (against other small town leagues) keep that same team for Indy Crossroads.  All of the players are in the same school system, no players were added from other leagues, this is for lower population leagues/ rural leagues. . Some of these teams could be defined by their leagues as “All-Star” or “rec” teams - but essentially all kids from same smaller league. It is possible to have an “AA” sized team that is entering a “2nd or B” Team. 

High School programs: Indiana- Class 4A, 5A, 6A, Ohio- Division 1,2,3: Kentucky- Class AA or AAA, Michigan-Class A and B, Illinois-4A and 5A.  Most of these teams will have 3-12 rec teams and will create a roster from those teams for Indy Crossroads.  The players are all in the SAME league, example - Zionsville has six 5th grade teams, after their playoffs- they will select 25 kids to be on their “all star” or tournament team.  All of those kids attend Zionsville Schools.  They do NOT add a player from Brownsburg or Lebanon or Westfield etc. It is a community based program and the kids are part of that program. 

These teams are loosely aligned with a High School program but may have players from different townships.  Example: Louisville, Indy, Cinci or Columbus areas with higher density and teams that may have players from a variety of townships or actively/openly look to add players to their rosters.  Not really a High School feeder program.  This would also include IEFA teams, or their junior teams (4th/5th grade teams).  Examples also would include FBU teams, Team Indiana's, “Travel teams” or teams that don’t fit the A or AA definition.
